Four Heat Pump Units Delivered for Swiss District Heating Project

2026-06-30

Today, with great excitement and pride, we watched as the trucks carrying four split-type heat pumps slowly departed from the Shuangliang factory, representing a key milestone toward the successful completion of the project.

This project is located in Switzerland. The customer is an important municipal energy company and district heating operator. The project uses four SLG lithium bromide absorption Type I heat pump units. Each unit has a heating capacity of about 10 MW, with a total heating capacity of nearly 40 MW. It is one of the largest heat pump projects SLG has delivered in Europe to date.

The project supports the upgrade of a local low-carbon district heating system. On site, waste incineration and biomass systems generate a large amount of recoverable heat during the flue gas condensation process. The system helps the customer recover heat that was previously difficult to fully utilize. It also reduces boiler fuel consumption, lowers carbon emissions, and improves the energy efficiency of the entire heating network. In this way, it provides a stable, reliable, and sustainable solution for green urban heating.

Looking ahead, SLG will continue to provide high-efficiency energy-saving equipment and integrated system solutions for customers around the world. We will help upgrade urban heating systems, improve energy efficiency, and support the sustainable development of global energy.
